Blue Lotus Absolute Oil 100%

Blue Lotus Absolute Oil is known for its enchanting aroma and powerful therapeutic properties, and derived from the delicate petals of the blue lotus flowers. The aromatic profile of Blue Lotus Absolute Oil is complex and deep, with sweet, floral, and honey-like undertones.

Since the yield of absolute oil is quite low some people claim that it is a rare oil and to make it available for a larger market manufacturers either mix blue lotus petals with other lotus plant material or dillute the oil with other oils. Of course, this doesn't make it a better product and this is absolutely not the way Thasai will do it since we only supply 100% absolute oil.

Blue Lotus Absolute Oil can be used in aromatherapy by adding a few drops to a diffuser and it is said by the enthusiasts that the calming aroma reduces stress and enhances mood.

Topical application is also a known use. Just blend with your favorite carrier oil for a luxurious massage or add to skincare products for a radiant, hydrated skin or add a few drops to your bath for a soothing, spa-like experience that nurtures both body and soul.

Thasai offers blue lotus absolute oil in sizes from 1 gram to 1 kilo or if you like so from 1 ml to 1 liter.

We don't offer blue lotus essential oil since blue lotus flowers have low concentrations of essential oil. This makes it difficult to extract an usable amount of essential oil using steam distillation. The blue lotus is a delicate flower, and the extraction process can damage its fragile petals, resulting in a loss of the plant's therapeutic properties. Therefore, the flower is more suitable for solvent extraction methods, which preserve its essence better than steam distillation.   

Our Blue Lotus absolute oil is made by a traditional solvent extraction method.

First, the so called "concrete" is made by extracting blue lotus petals in hexane. The result is a waxy substance containing oils and other compounds. Then the concrete is washed with food grade ethanol  to dissolve the aromatic compounds, separating them from the waxes and the last step is to evaporate the food grade ethanol, leaving behind the absolute, a highly concentrated aromatic oil without hexane residue.
